Avalon Health Clinic, a new multidisciplinary clinic planned for Greater Victoria, BC, is seeking founding Nurse Practitioners to deliver full-scope primary care alongside our family physician team.

This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a clinic designed around modern, integrated healthcare from day one.

At Avalon, Nurse Practitioners will work to the full scope of their training with meaningful autonomy, strong collaboration, and access to an interdisciplinary team that supports better patient outcomes.

You will hold your own panel, build lasting patient relationships, and practice in an environment where whole-person care is the standard.

• Hold a primary care panel and provide comprehensive, longitudinal care
• Practice to the full scope of your license, including chronic disease management, preventive care, mental health, women’s health, lifestyle medicine, and minor procedures
• Support patients navigating complex health needs with continuity, compassion, and evidence-informed care
• Collaborate directly with family physicians, counsellors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, and other clinicians
• Participate in Avalon’s specialty recovery pathways where primary care continuity is essential
• Help shape clinic systems, workflows, and culture as a founding clinical voice
• Contribute to a patient experience that feels connected, warm, and easier to navigate

You are a Nurse Practitioner who values autonomy, clinical excellence, and collaborative care.

You enjoy building relationships with patients, managing complexity, and practicing to the top of your license.

You may be especially energized by helping shape a thoughtful new model of care where your voice matters and your work has impact.

• Master’s-prepared Nurse Practitioner registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives in the Family / All Ages stream, or eligible to register
• Current BCCNM licensure and appropriate professional liability coverage
• Confidence in primary care assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and continuity care
• Comfort with EMR systems and team-based practice
• Strong communication skills and collaborative instincts
• New graduates and experienced NPs are equally welcome

• Compensation: Competitive salaried position starting at $130,000+ based on experience, scope, and leadership contributions

• Brain injury and concussion recovery
• Surgical pre- and post-operative care
• ICU recovery, including the first outpatient post-intensive care clinic on Vancouver Island
