Pediatric Endocrinologist 

Collaborative specialty practice · Flexible model · Phased start, Q3 2026 


Avalon Health Clinic, a new multidisciplinary clinic planned for Greater Victoria, BC, is seeking a founding Pediatric Endocrinologist to join a new interdisciplinary clinic designed around connected, modern healthcare.


This is an opportunity to practice in an environment that values thoughtful medicine, collaborative care, and coordinated support for children, adolescents, and families navigating endocrine and metabolic health concerns.


At Avalon, pediatric endocrinology will play an important role in supporting patients with diabetes, growth and pubertal concerns, hormonal conditions, metabolic health challenges, and complex chronic disease presentations within an integrated team environment.


You will work alongside family physicians, pediatric providers, nurse practitioners, counsellors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation clinicians, and allied health professionals within one connected system designed to improve continuity, communication, and patient experience.


WHAT THIS ROLE IS


  • Provide consultative and longitudinal pediatric endocrinology care within a collaborative outpatient setting
  • Support children, adolescents, and families navigating endocrine and metabolic conditions including diabetes, thyroid disorders, growth concerns, pubertal development, hormonal conditions, and bone health concerns
  • Collaborate closely with family physicians, pediatric providers, Nurse Practitioners, and allied health clinicians to support coordinated care planning
  • Support patients and families through education, chronic disease management, and long-term follow-up care
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and collaborative care planning
  • Help shape specialty workflows and systems within a growing clinic environment
  • Contribute to a patient and family experience that feels connected, respectful, and easier to navigate 


WHO YOU ARE


You are a Pediatric Endocrinologist who values relationship-based care, collaboration, and thoughtful long-term support for children and families.


You bring strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and a compassionate, family-centered approach to care. You appreciate autonomy while recognizing the value of interdisciplinary collaboration and integrated healthcare environments.


You may be especially interested in helping to build a modern outpatient model that more effectively supports continuity, education, and coordinated pediatric specialty care.


WHAT YOU BRING


  • MD with full registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, or eligibility to register
  • Certification in Pediatrics and subspecialty certification in Pediatric Endocrinology through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC), or eligibility
  • CMPA coverage
  • Interest in collaborative outpatient medicine and interdisciplinary care
  • Comfort with EMR systems and team-based workflows
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative instincts
  • Physicians at varying stages of practice are welcome to apply
