Avalon Health Clinic, a new multidisciplinary clinic planned for Greater Victoria, BC, is seeking a founding Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist to help lead pelvic health within our integrated primary care clinic.
This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a setting where pelvic health is recognized as essential healthcare, not an afterthought.
At Avalon, pelvic health will be woven into women’s health, surgical recovery, chronic pain care, postpartum recovery, and whole-person wellness through a truly connected care model.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS
- Provide pelvic floor physiotherapy for prenatal, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, core recovery, and post-surgical pelvic populations
- Support patients navigating pain, dysfunction, life transitions, and recovery with evidence-informed, compassionate care
- Work directly alongside family physicians, nurse practitioners, counsellors, and allied health clinicians as part of an integrated care team
- Receive direct in-house referrals from primary care, women’s health, and surgical recovery pathways
- Help shape Avalon’s pelvic health program from day one
- Contribute to a patient experience that feels safe, respectful, empowering, and clinically excellent
WHO YOU ARE
You are a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist with strong clinical skills and a trauma-informed approach.
You care deeply about patient dignity, communication, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable seeking support.
You value collaboration and are excited by the idea of building a pelvic health program inside a modern interdisciplinary clinic.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Registration in good standing with the College of Physical Therapists of BC
- Postgraduate training in pelvic health (Pelvic Health Solutions, Herman & Wallace, or equivalent)
- Professional liability insurance through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association or equivalent
- Trauma-informed practice approach
- Experience supporting prenatal/postpartum clients, pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, core recovery, or post-surgical pelvic care considered an asset
- Strong communication skills and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
- A builder mindset and excitement about helping shape something new

- Compensation: Competitive independent contractor revenue-share model with earning growth tied to caseload development, experience, specialty expertise, and demand

- Full clinic infrastructure provided, including reception, booking, EMR, billing support, private treatment rooms, and administrative systems
